Adding PhishFence to Your Server

Get PhishFence up and running in under a minute — invite the bot, set a log channel, and you're protected.

4 steps

1

Invite the bot to your server

Action

Use the 'Add to Server' button on the PhishFence website. You'll need the Manage Server permission on the target server.

2

Make sure the bot has the right permissions

Important

PhishFence needs permission to read messages, delete messages, and take moderation actions (kick/ban/timeout) in the channels you want it to protect. Without these, detections will fire but actions won't apply.

/setup is available but only works correctly once permissions are already configured. Use the dashboard instead.

3

Protection starts immediately

Info

As soon as the bot is in your server with the right permissions, it begins scanning messages in real time. No further steps are needed to get basic protection running.

4

Configure everything from the dashboard

Action

Log into the PhishFence dashboard to set your alert log channel, adjust per-threat-type actions (ban, kick, timeout, delete-only, or auto-escalate), and manage all server settings. The dashboard is the recommended way to configure the bot.
